Sun, crystalline waters, amazing waves and, of course, a feminine figure to brighten even further the session. That’s a way to describe the video of the young north-american Parker Coffin shattering Pedra Branca’s waves, last October, and which is also a contender for the Winter Sessions competition of the surfing website Magicseaweed.<\/p>\n

Coffin joined his fellow countryman Griffin Colapinto and the german-portuguese Nic Von Rupp last October<\/a> to explore portuguese waves, with special emphasis on Ericeira. In one of those days, the athletes prowled around Empa beach and took advantage from some of the season’s most consistent waves to come on shore. The result was an epic session full of great maneuvers, on a Summer environment, masterfully reflected in filmmmker H\u00e9lio Valentim’s editing.<\/p>\n

Parker Coffin’s video is included in the contest for best Winter session – Winter Sessions<\/a> – de 2013, promoted by Magicseaweed. The surfing website is gathering an archive of images of the best sessions in Europe, North Africa and the Mediterranean on the last four months. The winner, chosen among eight finalists, wins a trip to Jiwa, in the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, which he will share with the filmmaker and a friend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
