The Ribeira d’Ilhas beach will host the second stage of the Liga MOCHE<\/a> – the surfing National Circuit – between the 17th and 19th of April, as announced by the circuit’s organization in S\u00e3o Pedro do Estoril, during the presentation of the competitive calendar.<\/p>\n

The Ericeira stage is already a part of the history of the circuit and remains one of the favorites among the athletes. During the press conference, Frederico ‘Kikas’ Morais, Vasco Ribeiro, Carina Duarte and Camilla Kemp, when questioned on their favorite stage of the circuit, elected the World Surfing Reserve beach as the most exciting.<\/p>\n

A new aspect in this year’s circuit is the introduction of a stage in Algarve, to be held in Aljezur between the 6th and 9th of June. Costa da Caparica opens the competitive season of the national circuit on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of March; next comes Ericeira, Porto (9th to the 11th of May), Aljezur and Cascais (26th to the 28th of September).<\/p>\n

The competition structure has also been changed, with the extension of competitors to 24 athletes in the women’s Liga MOCHE and the improvement of the total prize up to \u20ac57.500.<\/p>\n

The grating of 10 MOCHE\u00a0access wildcards<\/em> to the screening of the portuguese stage of the WCT World Surfing Circuit – MOCHE Rip Curl Pro – is again on consideration, through the dispute of the best waves surfed in each stage.<\/p>\n

Liga MOCHE will grant 2500 euros yearly to the winners of Malibu Expression Sessions – performance surfing sessions where only the best moves matter. There will also take place the Ramirez Junior Award trophy, which highlights the best junior athletes of the league with an yearly sum of 2500\u20ac. This award grants itinerant objectives through the stages, but the focus will always be on the under-18 and under-16 surfers on the men’s and women’s categories.<\/p>\n

All the stages of the Liga MOCHE will be broadcasted live on the MEO Kanal 202020; on the internet, at\u00a0www.liga.moche.pt<\/a>; on the mobile app Surf MOCHE, as well as in RTP, through dedicated resumes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
