{"id":65607,"date":"2026-06-12T00:00:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T23:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/?p=65607\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T14:41:36","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T13:41:36","slug":"connect-disconnect-youth-theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/connect-disconnect-youth-theatre\/","title":{"rendered":"Connect\/Disconnect: Youth Theatre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography: <\/strong>ARR<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a world of constant connectivity and being chronically online, Colectivo A TRIBO produced a new theatre play to shift attention to presence, physicality, and real human connection.<\/p>\n<p>At the Beatriz Costa Municipal Auditorium, in Mafra, on June 13 and 14 at 9:30 p.m., the performance invites audiences to reconnect with what is immediate and physical: moving the body, touching, dancing, feeling, being present.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>13 hours online per day<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In \u201cLigar\/Desligar\u201d (Connect\/Disconnect) the teenage group of the collective reflects on the use of screens, social media and the permanent flow of information, exploring the balance between the online and offline worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Daniela Sim\u00f5es, founder of the collective, says: \u201cWe researched this among the teenagers in the group and the person who spent the most time online in a single day had been connected for thirteen hours. That made us think about how much time we spend disconnected from ourselves, from other people, and from real face-to-face communication.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On stage, this translates into 14 young people between the ages of 13 and 18 proposing a constantly shifting puzzle through movement and words.
