The Mafra Literary Festival, curated by Jos\u00e9 Fanha, returns from November 3 to 9 with a diverse programme designed for audiences of all ages. The event aims to bring the community closer to books and to the many forms of literary expression.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Book Fair, which brings together new releases and great classics at the South Tower of the Palace, the festival will feature storytelling sessions, author talks, and reading and theatre performances.<\/p>\n

During the first days, from November 3 to 6, activities will be especially dedicated to schools, with traditional storytelling sessions created for younger audiences.<\/p>\n

Starting on November 6 at 6 p.m., the festival officially opens its doors to all visitors at the South Tower of the Royal Building of Mafra, where most of the programme will take place. The Beatriz Costa Municipal Auditorium will also host several performances and meetings.<\/p>\n

The schedule is packed with unmissable events. Highlights include the play \u201cMy Solitude Should Have Wings\u201d (November 6, at 9 p.m.), author discussions such as \u201cFrom Cam\u00f5es to Machado de Assis: Paths of the Portuguese Language\u201d and \u201cReading to Grow\u201d (November 7, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively), the session \u201cMemories and the Memorial do Convento\u201d (November 8, at 3 p.m.), and the storytelling evening \u201cThe Night of Wandering Tales\u201d, on November 8 at 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The final day, November 9, will feature a literary marathon with events dedicated to theatre, memoir writing, and local literature, culminating in the closing session \u201cVoices That Fly\u201d, scheduled for 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
