On October 18, Ericeira will host a cultural journey through its own history. The Municipal Auditorium of Santa Marta will receive the 15th Joint Cultural Session of ICEA (Institute of European and Atlantic Culture) and SGL \u2013 Lisbon Geographical Society \u2013 this time entitled \u201cThe Town of Ericeira through the voice of Gabriel Pereira, Patroc\u00ednio Ribeiro, Jaime Lobo e Silva and Ant\u00f3nio Bento Franco.\u201d<\/p>\n

The initiative, which runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., is free to attend and promises to reveal the town through the words and works of four prominent figures linked to the region.<\/p>\n

local history, cultural roots, and remarkable figures of Ericeira<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The session will begin with an official opening by Jos\u00e9 Viegas Freitas, president of ICEA, followed by a presentation by Pedro Cris\u00f3stomo on Patroc\u00ednio Ribeiro, Jaime Lobo e Silva, and Ant\u00f3nio Bento Franco.<\/p>\n

At 4:30 p.m., Jo\u00e3o Abel da Fonseca, director of the SGL Library and president of the ICEA Higher Council, will present \u201cVila da Ericeira, by Gabriel Pereira (1903),\u201d offering a unique perspective of the town at the beginning of the 20th century.<\/p>\n

The session will close with Lu\u00eds Aires-Barros, president of SGL, who will deliver the official closing remarks. The discussion will be moderated by Jos\u00e9 Constantino Costa.<\/p>\n
