{"id":63140,"date":"2025-10-22T00:00:33","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T23:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/?p=63140\/"},"modified":"2025-10-16T12:57:52","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T11:57:52","slug":"lisbon-rally-hits-top-gear-with-nighttime-super-special-in-mafra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/lisbon-rally-hits-top-gear-with-nighttime-super-special-in-mafra\/","title":{"rendered":"Lisbon Rally hits top gear with nighttime Super Special in Mafra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography:<\/strong> Rally de Lisboa \/ Facebook<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 edition of the Rally de Lisboa, scheduled for October 30 to November 1, reaffirms itself as one of the key events on Portugal\u2019s motorsport calendar, not only for its sporting significance but also for its cultural and social impact.<\/p>\n<p>Recognized as an event of National Tourist Interest, the rally returns this year with exciting new features \u2014 the highlight being a nighttime Super Special Stage in Mafra.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>a course designed for maximum thrills<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This stage, closing out Friday\u2019s program, will begin at 9 p.m. and covers 1,860 meters through the heart of Mafra, running along the main avenue and the streets surrounding the National Palace.<\/p>\n<p>The route was designed to deliver maximum excitement against the backdrop of one of the most emblematic Baroque monuments in Portugal, commissioned by King John V in 1717 and today listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<p>Rally de Lisboa has also been standing out for its commitment to sustainability. In 2024 it was awarded the Environmental Sustainability Prize by the Portuguese Federation of Automobilism and Karting, thanks to the measures implemented by CPKA to reduce the ecological impact of the race.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_63098\" style=\"width: 1060px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/494049664_1119372736660843_5120545125060112247_n-e1758126236769.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-63098\" class=\"size-full wp-image-63098 colorbox-63140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/494049664_1119372736660843_5120545125060112247_n-e1758126236769.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1050\" height=\"743\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-63098\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ph. Rally de Lisboa \/ Facebook<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This year the organizers are preparing a new plan to strengthen that commitment, aiming not only to maintain but to surpass the standards already achieved.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond being the only competition that awards the Portuguese Rally Cup, this year\u2019s edition will also, for the first time, be part of the Portuguese 2WD Rally Championship. It will once again feature in the calendars of the International Iberian Rally Trophy, the Peugeot Rally Cup Portugal, the Clio Trophy Portugal, and the FPAK Junior Team.<\/p>\n<p>The official start takes place in Lisbon, following the tradition of previous editions, while the finish is set for Cascais Marina on Saturday, November 1.
