On February 24th, H\u00e9lder Alfaiate – Art Gallery inaugurated PUNCTUM VISUS, an exhibition by Pedro Henriques featuring a work by Jos\u00e9 Loureiro. The curation is by Frederico Portas and Tom\u00e1s Agostinho.<\/p>\n

This marks the seventh moment of the curatorial program T\u00eate-\u00c0-T\u00eate, featuring a set of original works developed by Pedro Henriques with the aim of reinterpreting the creative possibilities opened up by Jos\u00e9 Loureiro\u2019s \u201cA Voca\u00e7\u00e3o dos \u00c1caros\u201d (\u201cThe Vocation of Dust Mites\u201d) series.<\/p>\n

the exploration and imagination of potential symbolic relationships between artists of different generations<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This exhibit intends to stage a dialogue \u2014 or a t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate \u2014 through the opposition between pictorial representations and the chromatic obsession that unites them.<\/p>\n

Attendees can witness a conversation between artworks serving as reflective exercises, stimulating the exploration and imagination of potential symbolic relationships between artists of different generations.<\/p>\n

T\u00eate-\u00c0-T\u00eate is an exhibition series that began in 2022 at H\u00e9lder Alfaiate \u2014 Art Gallery in Ericeira and will continue throughout the 2023\/2024 season. Each exhibition starts with an invitation to an emerging artist, asking them to create a new body of work inspired by the practice of an established artist. The emerging artists choose the veteran with whom they want to engage in dialogue, as well as the set of works that will shape the nature of the relationship between them. In this context, curatorial intervention and freedom are intrinsically linked to the autonomy that each younger artist seeks to express.<\/p>\n

PUNCTUM VISUS will be on display until April 28th at H\u00e9lder Alfaiate \u2014 Art Gallery, with the artworks available for purchase. Admission is free and the exhibition is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 11 am to 7 pm.<\/p>\n
