And all within an hour&#8217;s drive from the capital, Lisbon.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>the challenge is taken up to encourage visitors to explore the interior of the territory<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The author, Amelia Duggan, had a surf lesson at Ribeira d&#8217;Ilhas with Francisco Romeiras, an instructor at the Ericeira Surf Clube, who spoke to her about the sculpture of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/the-guardian-author-and-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guardian<\/a>.
