Young people of several nationalities will be accommodated in Ericeira and Carvoeira, united by the desire to take part in the biggest youth meeting with Pope Francis in Lisbon, between the 1st and 6th of August \u2013 the World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023.<\/p>\n

And what will be the implications of it? What will change in the lives of the respective populations during this period? It was these and other issues that led the Parish Organizing Committee (POC) of Ericeira and Carvoeira to bring together the main institutions of both parishes at the same event on the beginning of March, at Ericeira’s Casa da Cultura Auditorium.<\/p>\n

it is urgent to find accommodation for another 1150 people and triple the number of the current 30 volunteers<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Over the course of a week, young people from all over the world will be hosted, for the most part, in parish, public or community facilities (gymnasiums, schools, pavilions, communities and parish halls) and in the homes of host families. But more is needed.<\/p>\n

As for parish volunteers, anyone over the age of 15 can sign up in this online form<\/a>, requesting commitment and availability in the first week of August.<\/p>\n
