Born in Mozambique on Christmas Day 1946, Fernando Jos\u00e9 de Sim\u00f5es e Menezes would come to be better known in the artistic world simply as Fernando Menezes, a painter with deep connections to Ericeira, where he died in 1996.<\/p>\n

In December 1997, Casa da Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva hosted an exhibition of his work \u2013 it is precisely the digitization of the catalog of this exhibition (carried out by Pedro Cris\u00f3stomo) that serves as the basis for this article, in which, in addition to the photogallery, we took the opportunity to leave a brief biography of the Artist.<\/p>\n

Between 1980 and 1990 he edited several series of postcards with his serigraphs illustrating Ericeira’s historic monuments.<\/p>\n
