According to a statement recently issued by Airbnb, Ericeira was the second Portuguese surfing area that grew most economically, within the respective accommodation sector, with a significant total of +150%, outside the Summer high tourist season.<\/p>\n

According to the company, \u201cmany of the world\u2019s top surf destinations lie beyond traditional tourist hotspots and hotel regions, making nearby accommodation difficult to find or too expensive during the surf season.\u201d However, for hosts with a house in these spots, the surf season \u2013 which traditionally takes place from September to April, that is, outside the so-called \u201chigh season\u201d \u2013 opens up an economic opportunity to have an additional off-peak income source.<\/p>\n

Ericeira appears in this list in second place with an increase of 150% compared to 2018\/2019<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to Airbnb data, in Portugal, hosts that offered stays in the main surfing areas during the 21\/22 season profited 90% more compared to the same months on 18\/19. Typical earnings for hosts in the main surfing areas in Portugal went from 1,300 euros to 2,500 euros, increasing by 92% between seasons.<\/p>\n

Ericeira appears in this list (in which the main surfing areas with the highest growth in average income are mentioned) in second place, with an increase of 150% compared to the years mentioned above, during the same season, being only surpassed by Agu\u00e7adoura, in P\u00f3voa do Varzim, which grew by 350%.<\/p>\n
