Recently, Forbes magazine’s website, a famous North American publication dedicated to business and economy, published an article entitled “Portugal\u2019s next great beach vacation destination: Ericeira”<\/p>\n

Although not exactly a new discovery, Ericeira has been on the radar of many tourists and new residents for some time now, a trend that has been increasing in recent years due to the beaches and waves that make up the World Surfing Reserve, the landscapes and the unique atmosphere provided by the village.<\/p>\n

stylish design, quality materials and good food, but without the glamour or the need to see and be seen.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Forbes, in addition to the worldwide recognition, also brings new lights to those who do not know this \u201cparadise\u201d. Author Ann Abel considers Ericeira a perfect place for all levels of surfing, mentioning the importance of the World Surfing Reserve, which is no longer the only one in Europe \u2013 contrary to what has been mentioned in this article \u2013 since North Devon, in the United Kingdom, joined the list of World Surfing Reserves: \u201cIts waves are more accessible than the gigantic ones up the coast at Nazar\u00e9, but reliably interesting for a wide range of skill levels, which is why it\u2019s Europe\u2019s only \u201csurf reserve\u201d [sic], can be read in the text.<\/p>\n

In the article, the author begins by presenting this small coastal corner of the Atlantic Ocean, introducing how the village came to become what we know today, by offering more than just surfing: \u201cthe town itself retains a lot of the charm of the fishing village that it once was, its services have tended toward hostels, surf schools and caf\u00e9s serving a\u00e7a\u00ed and quinoa bowls”, in order to present a brief overview of what a new visitor can expect.<\/p>\n

Ann Abel Abel also addresses Ericeira\u2019s unique identity, highlighting the village as a \u201cslow travel\u201d destination \u2013 a place to enjoy every second, surrounded by nature and where, in addition to the beaches, it is suitable for visitors who appreciate \u201cstylish design, quality materials and good food\u201d, all this very close to the Portuguese capital.<\/p>\n
