{"id":49361,"date":"2022-05-17T00:01:28","date_gmt":"2022-05-16T23:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/?p=49361\/"},"modified":"2022-05-12T10:54:01","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T09:54:01","slug":"six-blue-flag-beaches-in-the-municipality-of-mafra-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/six-blue-flag-beaches-in-the-municipality-of-mafra-in-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Six Blue Flag beaches in the Municipality of Mafra in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography:<\/strong>\u00a0RR<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The beaches, marinas and eco-tourism boats that will be able to fly the Blue Flag during the 2022 bathing season, which started on May 7 in some areas of Portugal, were recently announced.<\/p>\n<p>This year, six beaches in the Municipality of Mafra are again distinguished with this award: Algodio (North Beach), Baleia (South Beach), Foz do Lizandro-Mar, Calada Port, Ribeira d\u2019Ilhas and S\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o.<\/p>\n<p>In the municipality of Mafra, the bathing season starts on the 18th of June and lasts until the 11th of September.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Blue Flag 2022 program continues to work on the theme &#8220;Recovery of Ecosystems&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In total, in 102 national municipalities there are 393 beaches (21 more than last year), 18 marinas, \u2013 2 more \u2013 and 11 ecotourism boats (9 more) that will show the blue color in addition to the green, yellow and red, a symbol that challenges for the conservation of different ecosystems, both at sea and on land.<\/p>\n<p>The most outstanding area was Algarve, with 86 Blue Flags. Followed by the North (82), Tejo (77), Center (50), Azores (42), Alentejo (40) and finally Madeira (16).<\/p>\n<p>The official ceremony that marks the raising of the first Blue Flag on coastal beaches will take place on June 9, at Figueirinha beach, in Set\u00fabal.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Flag 2022 program continues to work on the theme &#8220;Recovery of Ecosystems&#8221; and, according to the Blue Flag Association of Europe (ABAE), its main objective is to &#8220;challenge the look at ecossystems, identify those that can recover and develop activities in this sense&#8221;, \u00a0in order to restore and preserve ecosystems, being them marine or terrestrial.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year there will be 393 distinguished beaches in our country, 21 more than in the previous bathing season.<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":14,"featured_media":30851,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[70],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-49361","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-society"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
