The National Palace of Mafra is among these suggestions, as an ideal place to visit with family.<\/p>\n<p>Among the features of the ERT-RL were also Moinho da Mar\u00e9 da Mourisca (Set\u00fabal), Moinho da Mar\u00e9 in Corroios (Seixal), Chalet da Condessa de Edla (Sintra) and the National Palace of Queluz (Queluz).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Mafra symbol from 1717 is characterised by the baroque style.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Mafra symbol is characterised by the Baroque style, with Roman and Germanic influences, and the respective construction work began in 1717, on the initiative of King Jo\u00e3o V.<\/p>\n<p>On the 7th of July 2019, the Royal Building of Mafra (complex comprising the Palace, Basilica, Convent, Jardim do Cerco and Tapada) was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.<\/p>\n<p>The Palace, Library and Basilica of this monument, which inspired the book \u201cO Memorial do Convento\u201d, by the renowned Portuguese writer Jos\u00e9 Saramago, are open to the public for visits.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Regional Tourism Authority of the Lisbon Region highlighted five monuments and buildings.<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":14,"featured_media":2492,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[117],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-47546","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-dna"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
