{"id":46834,"date":"2021-12-02T04:57:27","date_gmt":"2021-12-02T04:57:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/?p=46834\/"},"modified":"2021-11-23T12:21:32","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T12:21:32","slug":"cheeses-from-the-municipality-of-mafra-among-the-best-in-portugal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/cheeses-from-the-municipality-of-mafra-among-the-best-in-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheeses from the Municipality of Mafra among the best in Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography:<\/strong> RR<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was recently that the National Association of Dairy Industry (ANIL) held the Award Ceremony for the contest Queijos de Portugal (Cheeses of Portugal), at the Dr. Ant\u00f3nio Cupertino de Miranda Foundation \u2013 in Porto \u2013, and five cheeses from the Municipality of Mafra were distinguished, in different categories, as the best in Portugal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fresh Goat Cheese: Lactinovo;<\/li>\n<li>Cow curd: Requeijoeste;<\/li>\n<li>Sheep cheese (extra cure): Serramonte \u2013 Santiago cheeses;<\/li>\n<li>Mixed cheese (extra cure): Tr\u00eas Igrejas \u2013 Queijos Santiago;<\/li>\n<li>New flavors: Three Churches Pimenta da Terra \u2013 Santiago Cheeses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><em>the event aims to promote and encourage the development of the cheese industry<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>After this 12th edition, the Municipality of Mafra congratulated the companies Lactinovo, Requeijoeste and Queijos Santiago for their success, recognizing their levels of quality, innovation and performance.<\/p>\n<p>The competition organized by the National Association of Dairy Industry Companies had the involvement of 54 companies, from all of country, including Madeira and the Azores, in a total of 204 cheeses, in the 23 categories of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The competition took place under a \u201cblind test\u201d regime, with 20 judges representing the cheese sector, control and certification bodies, catering and gastronomy, distribution, representatives of companies in the industrial sector, educational institutions and the media.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Queijos de Portugal contest distinguished a handful of cheeses from the region.<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":14,"featured_media":46717,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[70],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-46834","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-society"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
