Photography:<\/strong> Pedro Mestre \/ ANSurfistas<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the end of May, Ribeira d’Ilhas hosted Circuito de Surf do Centro \u2013 the only event in the region for direct qualifying for the national finals in the various categories of the Esperan\u00e7a Surf National Championship.<\/p>\n The competition, held at the Mecca of Portuguese Surfing, selected Martim Fortes and Afonso Antunes (representatives of Ericeira Surf Clube), Tiago Leopoldo, Gustavo Viana and Maria Salgado for the finals – this championship was included in the schedule of Ericeira WSR+10, a commemorative event of the 10th anniversary of Ericeira World Surfing Reserve.<\/p>\n This tournament took place within the best expectations \u2013 although with some strong wind on the first day \u2013 and provided great moments of surfing.
