{"id":41773,"date":"2021-02-10T05:55:16","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T05:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/?p=41773\/"},"modified":"2021-02-07T19:00:06","modified_gmt":"2021-02-07T19:00:06","slug":"ericeira-world-surfing-reserve-sustainability-plan-in-preparation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/ericeira-world-surfing-reserve-sustainability-plan-in-preparation\/","title":{"rendered":"Ericeira World Surfing Reserve sustainability plan in preparation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography:<\/strong> experimentadesign<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The sustainability plan for the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve is underway.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-January, the Mafra City Council signed a contract that aims to prepare it with B+Forma\u00e7\u00e3o e Consultoria, Lda., a selected entity following a prior consultation procedure.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Ericeira WSR celebrates its 10th anniversary on October 14<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This contract having been signed on the 13th of January, the Sustainability Plan must be presented by the end of 2021, the year in which the World Surfing Reserve (consecrated on the 14th of October 2011) celebrates its 10th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>This anniversary will be celebrated over a year with a series of initiatives developed by Ericeira Surf Clube, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/european-commission-approves-ericeira-surf-clube-project-to-celebrate-the-10th-anniversary-of-the-world-surfing-reserve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EriceiraWSR+10 project was approved (and partially funded) by the European Commission<\/a>, following an application submitted under the Erasmus+ Sport2020 program.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Frame-WTE_LineUp_Secret-e1574427690163.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-36086 colorbox-41773\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Frame-WTE_LineUp_Secret-e1574427690163.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1050\" height=\"591\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/ericeiras-world-surfing-reserve-has-management-regulations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Regulation of the Municipal Management Council<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/approval-of-the-management-plan-of-the-ericeira-world-surfing-reserve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Management Plan<\/a> for the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve, this will be another tool of great importance for the future of the only WSR on the European continent.<\/p>\n<p>For the Municipality of Mafra, the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve Sustainability Plan is also a strategic document within the scope of the certification process of this municipality as a Sustainable Destination, an initiative that is in the final stage of completion.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Document must be completed by the end of this year, in which the WSR celebrates its 10th anniversary.<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":14,"featured_media":16452,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[69],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-41773","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-waves"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
