This distinction confirms the strong position that our town has assumed nationally, boosted not only by tourism and surfing but as well by its culture, landscapes and gastronomy.<\/p>\n<p>The annual &#8216;Zeitgeist&#8217; list by Google has 12 different themed listings &#8211; searche engines, athletes, music, celebrities, bands\/songs, TV shows, movies, sports clubs, destinations, food and beverages, fashion brands and apps &#8211; and covers the most searched words of the year in Portugal and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>At the remaining categories, the national results are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong> Celebrities<\/strong> \u2013 the pornographic actress Erica Fontes (portuguese) was the most searched in the web, ahead of the american TV star Kim Kardashian and the football player Cristiano Ronalo.<\/p>\n<p><strong> TV Shows<\/strong> \u2013 the reality show by TVI &#8220;Casa dos Segredos&#8221; was the most searched one, followed by Big Brothers and the soap opera Dancing Days.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Food and beverages<\/strong> \u2013 the chocolate cake lead the list, ahead of yogurt cake and snacks.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Fashion<\/strong> \u2013 the brands Zara, Bershka and La Redoute were the three most searched.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Sports clubs<\/strong> \u2013 Benfica led the searches , followed by Sporting and Porto.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Search engines<\/strong> \u2013 Ask, followed by Zero Zero and Outlook.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Athletes<\/strong> \u2013 The brazilian surfer Maya Gabeira came out on top, followed by the football player Bruma and the south african sprinter Oscar Pistorius.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Music<\/strong> \u2013 Harlem Shake, Gangnam Style and I Love It were the most searched.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Bands\/music<\/strong> \u2013 One Direction, Justin Bieber and Rihanna were the top three of this list.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Movies<\/strong> \u2013 highlight to Fast &#038; Furious 6, followed by Spring Breakers and Iron Man 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Apps<\/strong> \u2013 Google Maps led the list, followed by Google Translate and We Transfer.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ericeira: the jagoz town was the most googled destination of 2013 in Portugal.<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on get_the_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":3636,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[70],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3782","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-society"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
