These days, restaurants in Ericeira offer us gastronomic invitations from different parts of the world. One of the best examples of this diversity is Ay Mamita<\/a>, with a Latin street food concept that brings to Portugal’s bluest coast specialties from diverse South American countries, adding a very characteristic atmosphere, combined with the vibrations of the village, where it opened its doors this summer.<\/p>\n

The space, very comfortable and welcoming, dazzles the eye of any visitor with its bold decoration filled with regional pieces of art and murals – such as the Tree of Life, which bears the symbolism of fecundity, immortality and creation – that take us, in the blink of an eye, to a continent rich in traditions of their own.<\/p>\n

However, the real experience is served at the table: Ay Mamita offers a wide menu of South American recipes, such as the famous Vegetable Empanadas or Ay Mamita Empanadas, Salmon and Prawn Ceviches, the various Arepas (like Reina Pepiada, for example!) and Chilean and Argentinian wines. For those who enjoy an outdoor environment, there’s always the possibility to try these exotic flavors by the large window of the room, right next to the Tree of Life.
