Do you\u00a0know who’s the hidden face behind the\u00a0mask? It belongs to the surfer who recently won Liga Moche 2016 title at Guincho beach: Gony Zubizarreta.<\/p>\n

For not having the Portuguese nationality (he’s Spanish), the Ericeira Surf Club athlete couldn’t be considered national champion – the title went to Pedro Henrique -, which doesn’t take away any merit or value to his path in the national surf circuit.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the mask, the coach\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Maria Pyrrait called him “White Wolf, the champion whom no one speaks of.” Tiago ‘Saca’ Pires became internationally known as the Portuguese Tiger. Will\u00a0the nickname be going to catch for\u00a0Gony Zubizarreta, whose face is already uncovered in the next picture, carried\u00a0on the shoulders of Nicolau Von Rupp?<\/p>\n
