The second edition of the XXL Awards – EDP Mar Sem Fim has taken into account\u00a0over 50 waves for 5 different categories, and was in Cave\u00a0(one of the most dangerous waves in the world) that Jo\u00e3o Guedes, born in Porto, but with many hours spent in\u00a0the line-ups of Ericeira, surfed the “Best Tube”, winning this category and becoming one of the highlights of the event.<\/p>\n

This is a competition organised by “EDP Mar Sem Fim”, a project that focuses not only on the discovery of big and perfect waves, but also on the knowledge and dissemination of Portuguese surfing talents.<\/p>\n

The other winners were Alex Botelho (in the categories “Mar Sem Fim Biggest Wipeout”, “G-Shock Biggest Wave – Paddling” and “EDP Wave of the Season”) and Jo\u00e3o Macedo, in the category “VisitAzores Biggest Wave (Tow in)”.<\/p>\n
