Since Tiago Pires decided to put an end to his international career several tributes have been granted to him, last of which being the award of the Municipality Merit Gold Medal, at the Solemn Session held by the Mafra Town Council to celebrate the Municipality Day, and the \u201cCareer Award\u201d at the gala of the 50th anniversary of the National Sports Press Club (CNID), held last week at Estufa Fria in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

A more than deserved prize for a career of over 15 years on international stages, especially the seven seasons among the world elite in the World Surf Tour.<\/p>\n
