And when every element (wind, swell, and wave direction) aligns in perfection, Ericeira becomes the sort of aquatic and adrenaline hotbed that we honour in this gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Surfers and bodyboarders roamed the village as the swell predictions foresaw epic sessions in pretty much every spot in town. Secrets were seen with only a few souls abound. Ribeira d\u2019Ilhas sheltered countless waves\u2019 explorers. The touristic surf spots were often visited by locals and waves\u2019 lovers from abroad. Praia dos Pescadores remerged as an alternative on stormy days. And lest we forget competitions such as the World Junior Championship and Allianz Ericeira Pro by Dakine.
