AZUL \u2013 Ericeira Mag\u2019s first life was relatively short (between September 2013 and 2014\u2019s closure) but highly intense, spawning a strong impact: web visits reaching the thousands; readers clicking from all-round the globe; and an unlikely interaction and reach on social media leading to an unprecedented exposure of Ericeira.<\/p>\n

AZUL\u2019s effect also paved the way to curating premium events such as \u201cEriceira World Surfing Reserve\u201d exhibition (supported by Mafra\u2019s Borough and Ericeira\u2019s Council); and leading the media production for the naming sponsor of the surfing competition Allianz World Junior Championships, the epic event held at Ribeira d\u2019Ilhas that crowned the Portuguese young charger Vasco Ribeiro.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, we don\u2019t dwell on the past. Hence we\u2019re standing here today looking for the times ahead, facing an energetic, ambitious and hopeful horizon. \u201cWe can\u2019t bathe twice in the same river as the waters renew at every moment\u201d [an old Portuguese saying], so AZUL \u2013 Ericeira Mag\u2019s future will necessarily be different from its beginning. The natural intent is that these transformations work for the better.<\/p>\n

In this 2.016 version of AZUL, which we present with a slightly renovated team, we\u2019ll continue to promote the best of Ericeira in and out of national frontiers, contributing to shape and enrich a region of excellence and incredible potential: from the waves to the events to its people, businesses, landscapes and traditions. Our editorial mission will remain loyal to its original concept, only with the necessary readjustments demanded by a refocus on the project\u2019s sustainability. In reality, this will be the strategic pillar to consolidate from now onwards because only that way can AZUL accomplish its mission for many years. We rely on everyone for this goal!<\/p>\n

It is time to dive back into work, clear the dust from our keyboards and notepads and share the tales of a unique region deserving to be loved and cherished.<\/p>\n

We longed for the future we proposed to build with you and our all-time muse: Ericeira!
