{"id":13584,"date":"2014-09-24T11:00:22","date_gmt":"2014-09-24T10:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/?p=13584"},"modified":"2014-09-25T16:38:00","modified_gmt":"2014-09-25T15:38:00","slug":"ericeiras-magnificent-seven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ericeiramag.pt\/en\/ericeiras-magnificent-seven\/","title":{"rendered":"Ericeira&#8217;s magnificent seven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ericeira Reserva Mundial de Surf&#8221;&#8216;s photographic exhibition draw to a close last weekend after a couple of weeks displaying in Rua Dr. Eduardo Burnay, center of Ericeira.<\/p>\n<p>The event held in partnership with Ericeira and Mafra&#8217;s city halls and JC Decaux kickstarted AZUL&#8217;s first anniversary festivities with a tribute to Ericeira&#8217;s seven aquatic wonders included in the World Surfing Reserve area.<\/p>\n<p>For such initiative, four photographers were invited to share with Ericeira&#8217;s people and visitors their best stills portraying these waves.\u00a0One of these photographers was Jos\u00e9 Guerra, whom framed S\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o (<strong>photo 1<\/strong>) and Ribeira d&#8217;Ilhas (<strong>photo 5<\/strong>) through a wide landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Carvalho shot the powerful images of sister waves Coxos (<strong>photo 2<\/strong>) and Crazy Left (<strong>photo 3<\/strong>) . These waves are actually one next to each other, although one serves to the right and the other one to the left, but they both offer several unique angles for shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Ricardo Bravo, one of the most prestigious surfing photographers in Portugal, captured the unmeasurable strength of Cave (<strong>photo 4<\/strong>) and the perfectness of Reef (<strong>photo 6<\/strong>). The photos feature two of the best Portuguese bodyboarders &#8211; Jo\u00e3o Andr\u00e9 and Nuno Cardoso, respectively &#8211; in two waves naturally born for boogie.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Lu\u00eds Bento portrayed Pedra Branca&#8217;s peerless left on a classic day (<strong>photo 7<\/strong>). The story has it that several of the best Portuguese surfers &#8211;\u00a0Nic Von Rupp, Jo\u00e3o Guedes, Gony Zubizarreta, Jos\u00e9 Greg\u00f3rio &#8211; were in the water that day, but it was the best Portuguese bodyboarder of all times, Manuel Centeno, who took the best out of Ericeira&#8217;s most incredible left.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The photographies that illustrated &#8220;Ericeira World Surfing Reserve&#8221;
