Troy Media, one of the best news websites of Canada, chose Ericeira as one of Europe’s best surfing spots.<\/p>\n

The online publication highlighted Europe’s first World Surfing Reserve wave’s quality but also the living conditions of the fishing village and the distance to Portugal’s capital, Lisboa.<\/p>\n

The article was written by travel journalist Emma Gilchrist who was in Ericeira in June. In her report to Troy Media, Gilchrist underlined the beauty of the village as it’s based in a coastal line drawn by cliffs; the lifestyle related to the sea; the local gastronomy; the accommodation and activity’s offers, especially the ones connected to surfing such as the schools. Besides all these factors, Gilchrist also mentioned that Ericeira is just 45 minutes away from Lisboa and is near other touristic ex-libris, like Sintra and Mafra.<\/p>\n
