The third edition of the surfing film festival of Ericeira, now Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festivel, premieres next Thursday and goes along until Sunday.<\/p>\n
During four days there will be projections of 15 films that will dispute several awards: Shorts, Surfing Films, Sustainability, People’s Choice Award and Soundtrack. Among the films in display will be the world premiere of\u00a0“The Essence of Surfing”, produced by Geoff Clark, North-American producer of “Isolated”, the movie awarded with the People’s choice in last year’s festival.<\/p>\n
The films sessions will be in Casa de Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva, in Ericeira, and the tickets are sold for 2\u20ac. Besides the films, the festival will also have live music sessions and DJs.<\/p>\n
The premiere ceremony happens Thursday in Casa de Cultura at 6 pm and will be followed by a representativa of Mafra’s Municipality and the honorary president of the festival and father of surfing in Portugal, Pedro Martins Lima.<\/p>\n
The event will have a regional wine tasting and an art gallery with pieces from guest artists, such as Skeleton Sea, Gon\u00e7alo Os\u00f3rio, Ricardo Bravo ou C\u00e9sar Scarpa Medeiros, \u00a0Wavegliders surfboards e the project of surfboard covers Mermaid Dress.<\/p>\n
Alongside with Surf for Food, the promoters ask the visitors to donate some food goods to donate to the less fortunate families in Mafra’s district.<\/p>\n
Before the arrival of the festival in Ericeira, last years best films were projected in a roadshow through Azores and Torres Vedras. This year, after the event in Ericeira, there will be another roadshow through several Portuguese cities and Madeira to showcase the best films of this year’s edition.<\/p>\n
