The journalist Andrew Zimmern was in Lisbon, Loures and Ericeira tasting and documenting Portuguese gastronomic specialties for the television show Bizarre Food of Travel Channel.
In this journey, the journalist went to Golfinho Azul restaurant and tasted, among others, a caldeirada, octopus and barnacles, singular dishes from the Atlantic coast which, for the North Americans, sounds like bizarre gastronomic traditions.
Below is the video episode and on Travel Channel’s website you can explore a photographic gallery documenting the this tasty trip and the new experiences in Portuguese restaurants. As for us Portuguese, we can only say: to watch and eat with the eyes.
