The brothers Dave and Jeff Hubbard are true living legends in the bodyboarding world: this experienced blood duo is worth nine world titles, one of them added recently by Dave to such enriched history. The dropknee bodyboarder won his sixth title in the category a couple of weeks ago in Sintra Portugal Pro, the Portuguese stage of the Bodyboarding World Tour. And we can surely say that Ericeira had its influence in such result: before they both headed to Sintra, the Hawaiian brothers were in Ericeira for a training session on Pedra Branca’s lefties.
It was little past seven of a grey September morning when they arrived in the dusty parking lot of praia da Empa. The tide was extremely low, but it was running a few empty, hollow slabs that any bodyboarding lover wouldn’t let go through unridden.
